Brighton Marathon Run for Martlets Charity

A huge well done to our colleague Carl Mulliner who participated in the 4th Annual Brighton Marathon on Sunday 14th April. A record number of runners participated this year and lots of money was raised for various charities. The sun came out for the event and thousands of well wishers lined the streets of Brighton to cheer on the runners.

Carl said ‘It was easily the hardest physical experience of my life but the crowds were fantastic, they made me feel like I was famous with all the support they were giving, it made the pain all worth while. Thank you so much to everyone who gave their support either financially and/or otherwise, running a marathon is in large part a psychological exercise and without the people around me giving me positive vibes, I could not do it.’

Raising money for The Martlets Hospice, Carl was supported by many of his family, friends and colleagues. He tried incredibly hard to reach his target time, falling slightly short but is already planning to run next years Brighton Marathon to try and achieve this. Overall Carl has raised close to £400. Well Done Carl!
